I am currently collecting a lot of data from my students. I don't think that they realize it! I have two different activities to collect different data from my students.
GOOGLE FORM CLASS SURVEY
I created a Google Form survey with some various questions about my class. This survey has questions about me as a teacher, classroom atmosphere, and TAB. I use this survey to reflect on my teaching practice and classroom management. I do not have my students include their name on this survey. I wasn't very surprised to see these responses below. I did find that they wanted more ideas at each center. So, I will have to include those on my blended learning classroom. Google Form is really amazing because of these instant visuals of responses.
I am switching my portfolio system next year to Padlet. I am hoping for a little more ease and user friendliness. I am starting to have students log their goals for next year. Though this data is not a summative, I get an overview of what types of things my students want to work on. I also made this process fun for them by allowing them to add GIFs and images. Below is an example.
I am loving this platform already. I am able to give feedback to my students, and they are very engaged because this format looks and works like social media.
End of the year data can be very helpful to guide upcoming years. I am learning what my students need and want. I am finding that it is aligning very well with my thoughts. My students do pick challenging ideas.
